Academy Royale

Academy Royale is a gamified module structured as a competitive Battle Royale, where knowledge serves as a strategic advantage.

It combines learning elements with dynamic matches, enhancing engagement through real-time Web3 challenges. Tasks are generated from the Learn module content with AI support from Rumi.

The functionality is structured into key components to ensure seamless user experience.

  • Home Page and Profile: The interface shows the user’s avatar, nickname, ranking, profile background, OA token balance, win rate, and current division. It also features a daily “Question of the Day”, presenting a randomized quiz for OA point rewards with streak tracking based on correct answers. Tasks are divided into two categories: static, such as subscribing to a Telegram channel, and dynamic, rotating every three days from a prepared pool. Examples include reaching an N rating through wins, playing N matches, applying N buffs or debuffs, using a taunt N times, placing in the top N M times, and successfully voting to ban a topic N times.

  • Social and Ranking Elements: The Friends section shows friend rankings via a leaderboard, includes a duel challenge option (in development), and allows sending notifications to encourage friends to return to the game. The global ranking displays the top players, the user’s position, and its 24-hour movement (up or down).

  • Profile Details: The internal profile contains match history (points earned, question topics, and final placement), achievements similar to those in Nuts Farm, a selection of taunts with previews, and division progress based on ranking.

  • Game Mechanics: Matches group 10 players with ratings within ±200, with the search range expanding over time, and are divided by language regions (RU/EN) or servers (Americas, Europe, Asia). Questions are pre-selected from the database — including topic, difficulty (1–10), division, and answer options — before the match begins, followed by a voting phase in which each player casts one vote and the top three topics are banned. Answers are encrypted and withheld from the frontend to ensure fairness. Crates provide randomized items, with players selecting one of two options; effects and rarities are drawn from the database, and inventories are limited to three slots. Timers regulate each stage, including topic banning and answering. Every N rounds, the lowest-ranked player is eliminated, unless protected by a passive bonus. Rewards include +25, +10, and +5 rating points for the top three players, and –25 for all others, including early eliminations. Match points are awarded for correct answers, with significant penalties for incorrect ones and minor penalties for no response. At the end of the match, participant statistics are displayed. Buffs apply to the participant, while debuffs target opponents; all effects are publicly visible. A complete match history is available for analysis, including points per round, eliminations and their reasons, as well as buffs, debuffs, and their sources.

The competitive module enhances user motivation, with OA tokens serving as an attractive reward for victory. At the same time, the engaging format of matches provides both entertainment and a means of building reputation in the user’s KYU profile for future benefits within the ecosystem.
